Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain
prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called
Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought
up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the
Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and
Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they
had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent
them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed
unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
(Acts 13:1-4)

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the
first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the
earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in
his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and
his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.
Amen.
(Revelation 1:5-6)
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the

world. Amen.

(Acts 8:36-37)
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a
bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be
blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good
behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to
wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a
brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house,
having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a
man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care
of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with
pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he
must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall
into reproach and the snare of the devil. Likewise must the
deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not
greedy of filthy lucre;

that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable

to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
(Romans 12:1-2)
